In 2017 a community Dog Zone was created by the parish Lengthsman in what was formerly a disused, overgrown, brambly section of the Playing Field. This was made possible by the very generous grant funding from New Grove Trust (for all the materials and labour) and the donation by the Duchy of their locally sourced Chestnut fence posts.

Enclosed by secure fencing and self-closing gates, boasting two dog waste bins, a supply of bags, a seating bench and a variety of wildflowers & trees, the Dog Zone provides a wonderful area where dogs can be trained and exercised off-lead safely, away from livestock and vehicles and where their owners can sit and while away the hours in this natural & peaceful corner of our village.
